Dear Fellow TLA Members:
Happy New Year! We hope that you were able to travel to Temagami this past year.
“Thank You” to the majority of TLA members who renewed their memberships in 2021. This was sincerely appreciated in a year that was unpredictable for everyone. Your support allows the TLA to engage in many activities and services (e.g., monitoring local planning issues – including the development of the new municipal “Official Plan” in 2022) that benefit not only members, but the Temagami region, as well.

If you weren’t able to renew your membership in 2021, we encourage you to consider joining our ranks again in 2022.
A generic “TLA Membership Form” can be retrieved by clicking on this link: 2022 TLA Membership Form. We prefer to receive your membership payments in January of each year, as this allows us to plan more effectively for the upcoming season. (We extend our gratitude to those who have already renewed their 2022 memberships.)
All fees remain the same as last year (and membership dues, in particular, have not increased in price for over 10 years). Payment for memberships, and supplementary options and services, now include the following alternatives:
1. Send an e-transfer from a Canadian bank account to: tla@onlink.net. This is the best option for the TLA, as we don’t have to pay fees on these transfers.
2. Renew via the TLA website at: https://tla-temagami.ca/store. Payments are made electronically through PayPal. You can use your existing PayPal account or complete the transaction as a guest.
3. Phone the Administrative Coordinator (Linda) at 705-237-8927 and provide your Visa/Mastercard number. If you wish to pay with a credit card, you now have the option of making this an automatic, annual transaction (until your card expires).
4. Mail a cheque or a Visa/Mastercard number to: TLA, c/o Linda Bangay (N.B., Please contact Linda for address details.)
During the winter/spring, we plan to offer another online workshop on a topic of interest to TLA members (e.g., natural resources, Temagami “Official Plan”). Further details will be shared when they become available.
Please note, as well, that the Winter 2022 issue of the Temagami Times is currently being written, and will be distributed to TLA members in March.
