Briggs Landfill: Expanded Hours to Assist Storm-Affected Residents
The Municipality appreciates the challenges facing property owners as they recover from the recent storm and has reviewed requested measures to determine which can be implemented within its operational and legislative authority.
At this time, the Municipality is able to extend the operating hours at the Briggs Landfill every second Thursday through the end of August to better accommodate property owners and contractors involved in storm clean-up.
On the following dates, the Briggs Landfill will operate from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.:
• Thursday, July 17, 2026
• Thursday, July 31, 2026
• Thursday, August 14, 2026
• Thursday, August 28, 2026
On all other weekdays, the Briggs Landfill will continue to operate under its regular hours of Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Municipality will continue to monitor the recovery efforts and assess whether additional operational adjustments are feasible while ensuring services remain sustainable and resources are available to support the community.
